Our Story

How We Ended Up Pouring Concrete for a Living

We pour and finish concrete, driveways, patios, walkways, slabs, for homeowners around Bossier City. Most of us came up doing this work for other outfits before doing it under our own name, learning the hard way what this soil does to a bad pour.

If you're on this page, chances are your driveway is cracking, sinking at one corner, or you're just tired of the gravel patch you've been parking on. Cracking usually starts underneath, in soil that wasn't compacted or graded before the concrete went down, so we deal with the base first and pour second.

Why Choose Us

What you get when you hire us

None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.

Licensed and Insured

You won't have to cover a mistake out of pocket if a form blows out or a truck backs into a fence. Certificates are available whenever you want to see them.

Written Quotes

We measure the job and give you the price in writing, not a range that changes once the truck shows up. That number covers the concrete, the base, and the finish, so nothing gets added later.

We Know This Soil

North Louisiana clay swells when it's wet and pulls away when it dries, and that movement is what cracks slabs poured on a bad base. We compact and grade for it before we pour, not after something fails.

On-Time Scheduling

Concrete doesn't wait around, so we don't book more jobs than our crew can actually finish on schedule. Once we start a slab, we stay until it's finished.

Our Own Crew

We don't hand your job off to a sub you've never met halfway through. The crew that sets the forms is the crew that finishes the surface, so nothing gets lost in the handoff.

Clean Job Site

Old concrete, scrap form lumber, and excess base material all leave with us when the job's done. You get your driveway back, not a pile of debris to deal with.

Common Questions

Things people ask us

What homeowners want to know about who they're hiring.

How long has Sunrise Concrete Company been pouring concrete?
Sunrise Concrete Company's crew has years of hands-on experience pouring and finishing concrete in north Louisiana conditions. That experience covers driveways, patios, slabs, and repair work across a range of soil and site conditions.
Do you use your own crew or subcontractors?
Sunrise Concrete Company uses its own crew for forming, pouring, and finishing concrete rather than handing the job to subcontractors. The people who quote the job are the same people on site running it.
Can I see examples of past concrete work?
Photos of completed driveways, patios, and stamped concrete projects can be shared on request, and asking to see a finished job in person is reasonable if one's nearby. A slab that's a year or two old shows how the finish and joints are actually holding up, not just how it looked fresh.
Why choose a smaller concrete contractor over a large company?
A smaller concrete outfit puts the same crew on a job from start to finish instead of rotating in whoever's available that week. It also means the person who gave the estimate is usually the one answering the phone if a question comes up later.
Where is Sunrise Concrete Company based?
Sunrise Concrete Company is based in Bossier City, Louisiana, and works throughout the surrounding parishes. Being local means familiarity with the clay soil and drainage issues specific to this part of the state.
How far in advance do I need to book concrete work?
Availability for concrete work shifts with the season, with spring and fall typically busier than the middle of summer. Booking a few weeks ahead is a safe bet, though smaller repair jobs can often get worked in sooner.
Do you clean up the job site when the concrete work is finished?
Old broken-out concrete, form lumber, and excess base material all get hauled away once a job wraps up. The site gets left in usable condition, not with debris piled at the curb.
What happens if something gets damaged during the concrete work?
Sunrise Concrete Company carries insurance to cover damage to a driveway, fence, or landscaping that happens during a concrete project. Issues like that get addressed directly rather than left for the homeowner to deal with.
Will you finish a concrete job another contractor started?
Taking over a concrete job that stalled or was left unfinished by another contractor gets looked at case by case. The existing work is inspected first to see what's usable and what has to come out before continuing.
How can I tell if concrete work was done correctly?
A properly finished slab has consistent color, control joints cut at regular intervals, and no standing water or low spots once it rains. Cracking outside the control joints or a slab that rocks underfoot within the first year points to a base or finishing problem.
